OSCINAP Eye Drops is a Veterinary formulation that combines 1% w/v N-acetyl carnosine (NAC) and 0.3% w/v Sodium Carboxymethylcellulose (SCMC).  It helps in the management of cataract, reduces lens opacity and improves vision in cloudy eyes of dogs and cats.
To determine the efficacy of a topical antioxidant formulation including N-acetyl carnosine in the treatment of canine cataract on 30 dogs of varying breeds and ages were included in a study and dogs were treated three times daily with N-acetyl carnosine eye drops.  Reduction in lens opacity was seen in eyes with mature cataract and owner evaluation suggested improvement in vision in 80% of cases.
